Illinois Conceal Carry Classes - 

Learn IL laws, draw from holster, review basic pistol , insurance, go through various scenarios. Helps to prepare you to protect self and family.

Class Descriptions

​

NRA Basic Pistol Class

​ The goal of this NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course is to teach basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the student will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, shooting fundamentals, safe storage and transportation.

 

The classroom lecture uses teaching aids including:

*NRA material

* an audio/video segment

* real and "dummy" firearms

 

The classroom portion of the course emphasizes "discovery learning"-i.e. hands on activity learning.

 

This class is 8  hours and includes classroom, range time,  and learning to shoot.

 

Students will learn:

 NRA's rules for safe gun handling

Particular pistol model parts

Operation, ammunition

Shooting fundamentals

Cleaning

Continued opportunities for skill development
